In this world we push so hard to reach a prize, a place, a dream. And that prize is money, power and sometimes fame. Certainly success and respect. And we drive ourselves almost to the point of collapse just to get closer and closer to this goal.

An then, at last, through fair means or foul, we make it. We've got the big house, fast car, executive job, pretty wife, stomach ulcer... And somewhere, deep down, a feeling that there's more, so we push on. And on. But we never get there, never fill that hole inside.

Ultimately we can never really get this prize, the dream we are aiming at is to have "more", so however much we have, we'll always want more. And never be content.

But there is another goal, another prize. It's not easy to win it, in fact it's impossible. The goal is to live a different quality of life, and to live forever. To live life to the full, to be content, successful, happy and at peace. The only way is to fill the hole inside, to swap this emptiness with the beating heart of life.

At Flipside we have discovered that, much to our surprise, we have all been created by God, made by a loving Father. And until we knew this there was an emptiness inside, a satisfaction that would always elude us. But now there is wholeness, trust, truth and a life full of hope and joy.

So, this impossible goal can be reached by realising and accepting that we are made by God and for God, that he loves all people and that we have all turned away from him in our hearts. Because of this "sin" we cannot come into God's presence, and hence struggle to find contentment in this world. Because of God's love for us he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on our behalf, he took our sin, and we gained his righteousness, allowing us once more to come into the presence of God and receive full and eternal life.

Jesus has already given his life for you when he came and died 2000 years ago, and when you give your life to him, you will start to live a full life, and when you die you will come back to life, just as Jesus did, and be with God forever.

In our world of confusion and lies, there is one God, one truth, one way and one wonderful life.
